Sometime late last year I decided that if I really wanted to be a writer for a TV show then by gawd I better start writing some TV shows and stat. So I set out to make something relatable, comedic, and personal. A tale drawn from my countless interactions with folks in the theme park industry while in Florida. So I wrote a workplace comedy set in a theme park, based also from my love of “The Office” and “Parks and Rec”, both character based comedies.

So after a few writes, rewrites, I send it out to a show at the Pack Theater called “I’m a Pilot”, where each month they stage a pilot that’s been sent to them from a member of the LA comedy community.

And then I forgot about it. I went on and worked on a bunch of Channel101 shorts and kept doing improv, writing, and living life. You know, the usual. Until I got an email a couple of weeks ago. It was from the crew at “I’m a Pilot” and I had been chosen to have my pilot staged. A big thanks to Dave Ciaccio, Megan Goldman, Meredith Morris, and the Cast of the reading!

It’s been less than a week since the live staging and I’ve really learned a lot from seeing it brought to life! Mainly that the dang thing works pretty well! So if you weren’t able to come to the live reading, here’s a copy of the script for your reading pleasure. Give me an email if you like it!
